This multi-ways to wear upcycled Keffiyeh is modified by SamiArtStyle and I am donating 20% to supporting the #BrutifulTales project which I've just started (April 2025) after returning from a transformative journey to my father's homeland. See more here: www.instagram.com/BrutifulTales and get in to touch to book a talk and draw event, in person or online.
Thrilled to see Nadia Sawalha looking so sassy in her versatile Keffiyeh and appreciating all the support from the Sawalha sisters. Make sure to check out their weekly cooking show at www.instagram.com/TheCurlyCooksofCroydon
Also grateful to Sarah from www.instagram.com/PurelyPalestine for her gorgeous stories modelling this keffiyeh, and everyone else who has shared a story wearing theirs too

The Story of How This Came To Be:
A playfully creative way to upcycle a box of keffiyehs that were meant to be cotton but turned up as polyester!
Initially I thought I'd make bunting, but on opening the box and seeing the product and realising that all that fabric would be way too much bunting, I then thought....
"What if I fold it into four and cut a hole out of the middle?"
And lo behold, multi-ways to wear upcycled Keffiyeh!
Bonus? The cut-out piece became bunting, thanks to my friend Jenny for spending time on the bunting!!
I'm not a pro seamstress so Zig Zag stitch around the neckline (or hip or waist line depending how you wear it) was definitely my friend 😊
These were sold on the Sutton Friends of Palestine stall at a local EcoFair and helped raise over £900 for a charity delivering medical aid to Palestinian children in 2024. Bonus? The donations were match-funded by an anonymous donor meaning SFOP actually raised £1800!
